1. Even the most solid figures in the Bible doubted

2. A desperate father showed that faith and doubt can coexist

In Mark 9:24 (KJV), a father tells Jesus, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” He did not say “I have no doubts,” he said he believed and needed help with the part that still doubted, and Jesus answered his request anyway.

3. Thomas received evidence, not a scolding

When Thomas said he would not believe without seeing Jesus’ wounds, Jesus appeared to him and showed him exactly that (John 20:27). He did not condemn him for asking for proof, he gave it to him.
