How can I find my purpose again when I feel lost and confused
Feeling lost does not mean God has abandoned you, often it is a sign that it is time to look for direction in a different way.

1. Purpose starts with knowing who made you
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “I know the thoughts that I think toward you… thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Before searching for a specific mission, it helps to remember your life has an intentional origin, it is not an accident.
2. Look for direction in the Bible, not only in your feelings
Psalm 119:105 says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Feelings change from one day to the next, but Scripture gives a fixed reference point when everything feels confusing.
3. Purpose almost always connects to serving others
Ephesians 2:10 says we were created “unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Asking who you can help with what you already have usually brings more clarity than asking “what is my purpose” in the abstract.
4. You do not need to see the whole path at once
Proverbs 3:5-6 asks you to “trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” God usually guides one step at a time, He does not reveal the full plan from the start.
5. Ask for direction directly and specifically
James 1:5 says, “if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God… and it shall be given him.” Asking God for clarity in a specific prayer usually brings more peace than going in circles inside your own head.
